Our clients are varied from small business through to government. Here is a small sample of what they have to say about our services.
The Department of Agriculture and Food WA
The Brando team was engaged as principal marketing strategy consultants for ‘Food Strategy WA’ by the Department of Agriculture and Food WA. ‘Food Strategy WA’ is a proposed $140 million five year project. It has been conceived to restructure Western Australia’s food production sector from farm to consumer in order to improve population health, create jobs and increase state development while enabling sustainable land and water use.
"Brando Marketing have provided an "A1" service to the Food Strategy WA proposal. From strategic marketing advice through to product formation and delivery, Brando have provided fit-for-purpose service and products, on time (within very tight timelines), to budget and often beyond the call of duty driven by their passion for delivering a quality outcome. That kind of combination is rarely seen - it's value has not been counted in dollars and cents, it's been appreciated in the time and money we have saved generating our desired impact."
Stuart Clarke - Acting Director, Food Industry Development, Food and Trade Development Directorate, Department of Agriculture and Food WA.
The Game Factory
With a powerful product that raises awareness, triggers discovery, initiates change and consolidates improvements in primary school aged children’s pro-social behaviour, The Game Factory have been in so much demand that 'marketing' without systems and a strategy in place would have proven costly, both in terms of business health and the health of the owners! Brando's strategy has been to build the framework for even more activity without that necessarily meaning more affort from the owners.
"You don’t go to Brando unless you want something to happen. Business associates had spoken highly of Brando so we, to our good fortune, made contact.
They listened, analysed, strategized, took notes, got excited, channelled our enthusiasm and helped us determine a direction for sustainable, secure growth.
They were on hand when we needed them, kept us on track when we wavered, and kept us doing to get things done.
They get involved, get honest, get busy and suddenly things start shaping up in a way that builds confidence and inspires the belief that our business can be all that we know it can be with their kind of help."
Wilson McCaskill - Owner, The Game Factory
Renewable Logic
Creating a new arm to an existing business, Brett Easton, Managing Director of Cable Logic required the expertise that went beyond knowledge of standard marketing techniques. He called on Brando Marketing for our passion and commitment to the philosophies that his business was espousing with a view to having that communicated effectively to his target markets.
"When Renewable Logic was begun four months ago we did not have a structured plan to sell ourselves and our products to our customers. We were concerned by the possibility of not being able to reach the right customers for our products.
Whilst we were not absolutely certain of who our customers were going to be, and the best ways to sell our products to them, we did have an idea of what sort of a company we wanted to be, and what level of service that we wanted to provide.
Brando has helped us to determine who our target market is, and with Brando we are developing the strategy that will enable us to reach our customers, and then talk to them effectively.
Brando is helping us to find ways of adding value and discretion between our products and services so that we have a level of product and of service to suit various groups of customers."
Brett Easton - Managing Director, Cable Logic and Renewable Logic
"I love people with imagination. I am always excited by people who don't see the walls but the fields beyond."
"Why can't we create a world where we do things for others and get more than enough for ourselves in return? We should be opening our organisations up to this concept."
“At some point in the life of every human we come to a realisation – the reason why we’re here. When your personal ‘reason’ becomes clear it is an amazing, wonderful, freeing feeling …., at once a release and relief as well as a challenge – the universe looking you straight in the eye and saying ‘well … now you know. What are you going to do about it?’, Martin says.
Many of our clients know us as a marketing consultancy
and indeed that is how we started our business.
Over the years though, we have developed a keen sense
that traditional marketing is more of a hindrance than a help to most
organisations.
Many clients came to us for marketing help but we
found it wasn’t marketing they needed, it was organisational development.
Going from an organisation with a $1million budget to
a $10million budget takes more than just a clever marketing campaign; it takes
a certain attitude and a certain way of thinking.
For example, when an organisation reaches a certain
level of development it is easy to fall into the trap of defending what it has
rather than looking toward continual improvement and development. Managers may
not want to implement programs that they think threaten their positions even
though they may be great for the organisation and ‘leaders’ of an organisation
may know how to manage the status quo but not necessarily lead an organisation
to the next level of development.
So most organisations are quite happy to accept
superficial quick fixes (these don’t actually exist by the way) like
traditional marketing and branding campaigns rather than work for a real fix
because it means…well, it means…work! Which also means changing the way the
organisation currently operates!
Developing new thinking is more fundamental to
organisational success than the marketing message coming from it. In other
words; a successful organisation needs to;
Question its status quo
Be clear about what it stand for,
Be led by passionate, competent, fearless leaders who
are prepared to recognise they don’t have all the answers
Walk its talk
Have a team that works together and not for
themselves,
Knows how to take educated risks and reward learning
rather than punishing mistakes
Turn difficult situations into their own advantage
Understand what has made it successful
An advertising campaign can’t do any of this for you.
These observations led us to develop Brand New Thinking,
an organisational development program that aims to help organisations break the
shackles of fear driven thinking, safe thinking and small thinking.
Brand New thinking is a 9 module program that
encourages organisational leaders, managers and team members to question all the
assumptions they may have about their organisation.
It is a challenging but highly rewarding process that teaches a set of strategies, skills and
qualities highly successful organisations have exhibited when leaping,
sustainably, from one stage of development to the next.
Your organisation may;
Be frustrated at the lack of success of traditional
marketing campaigns
Be watching your competitors growing while you seem to
be stagnating
Be preparing for a change of direction or rapid growth
Feel that you lack leaders or people within the
organisation capable of creative, innovative thinking
Be unsure how to move forward from your current
position
Brando is a strategic consultancy that sees a very specific role for itself in the world of business and enterprise.
As experienced enterprise professionals, we are not blessed with the gift of technological invention or manufacturing know-how. We are however, experienced and skilled at strategic thinking, organisational development and communications.
As two men with a concern for the planet, we found a way of welding our skills and beliefs into a positive force and we seek to work with organisations that aim to make a positive impact on our world too. For example, we have taken one small renewable energy company and launched it as a leader in its industry and we help numerous not-for-profit organisations large and small develop from being grant dependent to self reliant social enterprises.
We seek to make businesses become incredible enterprises not just be good at what they do because in an age of communication clutter, being good is no longer good enough.
Our clients have included the Department of Agriculture and Food WA, The Department of Consumer and Employment Protection and non-government organisations such as WACOSS.
We believe that for organisations to be successful today, they must be a driving force behind the implementation of sustainable abundance for all. We hope that we can play a part in your enterprise helping achieve this.
